Switching from Cat to mid-pipe question.
I have heard that switching out the main cat to a midpipe will cause my 93 to run lean then blow the engine up. Because the computer needs to recognize the backpressure. Is this true? I have the HKS downpipe, stock main cat, and HKS Carbon-Ti cat back exhaust.

you don't only have to worry about leaning out you engine. You also have to worry about how fast your turbos are going to spool up with that free flowing exhaust system. You see your turbos will spool so fast and create so much boost that it is going to overwhelm you wastgates and they are not going to be able to dump all that extra boost fast enough even if you have a boost controller or a stand alone fuel system. What you will more then likely have to do is port out the waste gates. and that requires you to take the turbos off. now every car is different and no two cars are going to act the exact same way. But good luck.
