Start by listing your mods and what exactly is happening.

I have to be careful to let my motor warm up and lean out before I turn it off, or it will start really hard... Seems that if I just move it in the drive and turn it off, after the car sits for a while, the compression is gone.. My theroy is that the extra gas is washing away the oil from the combustion area, and the starting process is so fuel intesive, it takes a long time to get a decent amount ot lube to the rotor and apex seals.. This does not seem to happen if I let the car idle for a few minutes before I shut it off....

Does it spin fast like there's no compression? or chuggingly? How'd those spark plugs look? Doused in gas?

Well, if it wouldn't start, then you put a charger on it and it started right up... That should lean you away from the injectors....

How many miles are on the motor? Low compression often leads to hard starts... But sounds like your's is good.

I'd look at:

Plugs
Wires
Battery

Getting your injectors cleaned can NEVER be a bad idea though! AND CHANGE YOUR FUEL FILTER!
