Swapping MANA AC drier for Denso

Trying to get my AC working, and following forum advice I'm trying to swap my MANA drier out for a Denso drier. I went to a junkyard and grabbed the lines in and out of the drier from a 3rd gen Toyota 4runner after reading that 1st gen tacoma and 3rd gen 4runner lines share the same Denso drier ports.

The problem I'm running into now is that the 4runner (and best I can tell, Tacoma) lines point in opposite directions. There isn't a lot of room to make the line pull a u-turn or otherwise run it under the battery tray. How have people solved this? Anyone have pictures of their drier install with custom lines?

Have you considered using a generic aftermarket receiver/dryer that will fit in the OEM dryer bracket? In my A/C restoration predicament, I started with a Denso system that was missing everything forward of the firewall, and since it was single turbo the OEM A/C hard lines were a no-go, and finding a decent used condenser for a reasonable price was difficult, I ended up fabricating all of my own A/C plumbing, and used a generic aftermarket condenser & dryer. I now have a cold A/C system running R134A. You might be able to do something similar for your dryer, here's a link to my build thread for inspiration - A/C restoration content starts on post #12. https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...oject-1149941/

I'm pretty sure I looked at this exact generic drier. My assumption was that the lines need to point the same way for one to work, but your picture shows on outlet going away from the factory direction. I'll take another look and see if I can't squeeze something in that way

One thing to keep in mind, diners have an "in" and an "out" port and you can't mix them up. Make sure whatever you do the in and out is the same.
