suspected avcr prob

hi, i was wondering if anyone can help me with this strange prob i have on my hands.
recently i got my car tuned and everything was working fine till one week later my fuel pump and my avcr just wont start. it came to a conclusion that there was a loose
connection at the ecu. after solving the prob, the car could not go up to the tuned 1.2 bar, instead going at a steady .69 bar. no spikes. is it that the avcr resetted itself? if so can i just set it back to 1.2 by myself? can anyone give me some tips on how to go about doing the setting myself? thanks a bunch

Robinette has a good how-to on his site.

http://robrobinette.com/boost_avc_r_install.htm

I also suggest RTFM. It will give you lots of information on the controller and how to tune it.

I'm not sure why it would go to .7 bar if it was reset however. You may check to see if it had an A and B setting. It could be that whoever installed and tuned it setup one setting for stock boost and another setting at the 1.3 bar.

RTFM is a very old acronym used in the US and CA for Read The F****** Manual.

If the setting was as "off" then the AVC-R is not controlling boost at all. There are three settings "A", "B", and "Off". Normally, with it set at "Off", the max boost is controlled by the wastegate spring which is .5 bar on the stock wastegates. I don't know what your system is using but my guess is that you wastegate springs are at .7 bar. Set the AVC-R to A and see what happens.
