Surging idle after i took it to mechanic

Hey
i went to test drive my 93 fd rx7 after mechanic did some suspension work and now my car is revving to 3000-3500rpm from idle every 5-10 seconds or so. this seemed way more aggressive than a hunting idle.
i turned my car off and back on and it starting revving aggresively so i turned the car off until i can figure it out. at cruising speeds the car would accerate on its a own a bit and backfire sometimes.
ill check any suggestions thanks

What exactly did the mechanic work on? Knowing that may provide a clue. He may have dislodged or damaged something near what he was working on.

That is normally a problem with the ISC due to an improperly adjusted air adjusting screw.
The ISC solenoid is cycling through the extreme range.
Your mechanic frigged up something!

Is the car RHD or LHD?

Are you running a power FC?

Do you have a boost gauge and/or AFR gauge?

Check all visable vacuum hoses (as a start)

Is the vacuum hose to MAP sensor pulled off?
