Supercharged Series 6
Alternatively, it seems one could just use the right pulleys to gear it in such a way that it would make more boost sooner, then use a magnetic clutch to disengage it when a certain boost level was achieved, this would help reduce parasitic loss at higher RPMs it seems.
Dude... First, spending money on cars is better than on drugs and booze and titty bars... or, so my wife says.
Second, its exciting and interesting to try new things, especially with the rotary engine. (Pretty much everything has been tried with piston engines already.) The rotary has so much potential and so much can be done with it. So far, I've had stock twins, upgraded twins, single turbo 13b, naturally aspirated 20b (still have it), turbocharged 20b (more recent), and am thinking of trying the supercharged 20b. Each has been a great learning and driving experience and I am still doing a lot of experimentation. I want to try billet higher compression rotors and go from 10,000 to 12 or 14,000 rpm on the naturally aspirated motor. I would love to get from 360 or so over 400 hp to the wheels without a half P Port, individual throttle bodies, or other "uncivilized" changes. So far, the NA 20b is the best variant of the Rx7 I have driven. Its so smooth, has great torque, immediate and linear response, completely reliable, cool running, and sounds great. I think the supercharged 20b will have a LOT more power (450-500), still be pretty reliable, and will sound even more interesting and still civilized. I think its the next big area for Rx7 owners looking for linear power with reliability. I really hope you take a shot at it.

I dream of one day putting a 20b into my FD, but right now I'm content with what I've got.
I was wondering if you've ever considered alky or meth injection? possibly in your high comp 3 rotor maybe?
