suggestions on intake..please

hey guys...i am currently running PFS purple PMS, petitt SS downpipe and a Blitz NurSpec catback. I think i should open up the intake with a aftermarket cone or cold air box. I do have a K&N filter in the stock air box, but i dont think im doing justice to my DP and CB by keeping the stock airbox....

Any suggestions on a new intake. What do u guys think i should get with my mods. Cold air? Cone? Apex-i? Blitz? M2? Any suggestions and advice is always greatly appreciated. Thanx a lot guys.

M2 cold air box. Can be used with stock or larger radiator.

I'm currently using the m2 intake. I'm happy with it. All though I plan on getting an apex FMIC so I won't be able to use it after that.

I've read that open intakes are ok as long as you have an upgraded IC.

Also stay away from foam air filters.

M2 is my top pick. Open intakes tend to kill the air pump, and also aren't great for the engine/power.

Cold air is always better whether you have a FMIC or not. I think you just don't have much choice if you have a front mount. I would look into making a custom intake if a compatible cold air unit is not otherwise available.

Several tests have shown that all the intake element types (not the box or lack thereof, just the element) make about the same power, but the foam ones do a bad job of filtering. A'PEXi was the best at filtering in the two magazine tests I have seen, but K&N and Blitz also offered reasonably decent filtration.
