Subframe bolt problem?

Well, I had to drop the subframe so I could replace the oil pan gasket, and now the rear most bolt on the passenger side that holds the subframe doesn't want to go back in.
I get it about 1/2 in and it stops, I don't want to cross thread or strip the damn thing, but I'm not sure what to do.
Are these bolts usually hard to put in? What are my options in case I f#ck it up???

can you get the nut started? If so then just tighten them all down a little at a time........... They are pretty tough. If you can't get it started then just tight the other ones up and it will bring the whole subframe up for you.

Yes, it will start, but half way up it seems it grinds to a halt. The others are fairly easy to tighten, this one is a major pain in the @$$. Is this normal?

Did you look at the treads on the bolt? They might be jacked up. The sub frame is hard to get is so what I did was loosen all the other bolts to the point that they are about off and then take the hardest bolt and tighten that one up the most and then work on the others. Tighten them up kinda like the studs on the wheels.
Not sure if that helps but good luck.

The threads on the bolt are fine. So I don't know what the deal is.
Help.

its always scary when something like that happens...

spray lots of wd40 or carb cleaner in the hole and on the threads to make sure its clean and there is no sand or grit halting your progress. also take a flash light and peak inside the hole to make sure nothing is there. lastly one of the other bolts in that hole. its probably nothing but it is scary.

Yes it is, I think I'm just going to spray the crap out of everything and say screw it and torque it in there.
