stupid question from a Newb

Is the stock IC on the 3rd Gen Rx-7 a front mount? JC, becuase I know that most Factory turbocharged cars are side mount. If it Is a side mount, is there any way to convert it to a front mount? I know it would get better cooling up there, and it looks sooooooo much better.

No. It's not technically a "front mount" or a "side mount" or even a "top mount". It's mounted in front of the motor, but not in the airdam. It's basically directly in front of the motor, behind the radiator and AC condensor. And it's really really not big enough to "convert" to a front mount. Plus, it's got plastic endtanks.

Here, I just found this other thread that shows where it is. This one is an upgraded intercooler in the stock location (see the red pipes going to the silver box?) https://www.rx7club.com/vforums/show...threadid=18750
