Stupid question

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
don't put it that close to the turbo's. You will cook it, and also experience out of range readings. I was told to put it in the mid-pipe on top center, before the cat and after the flanges where the Dp and Mp meet. Hope that helps.

Ideally you want it on the downpipe. A good way to judge it is near the stock O2 sensor. It doesn't matter that much where it goes, just make sure it is easy to get to. The midpipe is too far downstream. You also have a greater chance of having an exhaust leak affect the readings there. Don't use a nut. Get a proper O2 bung and have it welded on. If you have a cat, it needs to be before it.

Warming the planet.
On a turbo rotary, the cat/midpipe end of the downpipe or in the mid pipe are good places. It needs to be above the 9 oclock position closer to 12 oclock the better. Overheating the sensor is a real problem if it's too close to the turbo. Mark the pipe and take it to any muffler shop and tell them you need a O2 bung welded there.
