Is a Street port needed???
You wanna know what's MY biggest problem with streetport and why I'll probably NEVER do it???
IT SOUNDS LIKE ****!
ported rotaries sounds so disgusting it'll make you wanna
There's absolutely no comparison between a ported rotary and a nice high reving piston engine like a ferrari
I'm not saying that all rotaries sound like **** (the 787B under acceleration has the most incredible sound I've heard come from a motor!) but it just seems that when people do their custom ports on this engine it turns out sounding like ****...perhaps it would be different if the engine was designed from the ground up to flow more air...

It's probably been said before, but I'm not into street porting just because of the replacement issues. You have to put 1950 into a reman REW then have it disassembled ported for another 1500+ The way I figure I'm just going to go with all the bolt ons I can possibly have. Ie Single T, Intercooler, ignition, full exhaust, computer, intake and get the best numbers that I can possibly cna get out of a Stock port. That way when it blows up in 70K miles I'm just out 2K vs. 4K. Just my opinion though. I look at the motors as disposable fun too, so it's all on your perspective.
