Strange spooling noise under acc.

Hey guys I was driving the car the other day after I had returned from my vacation so I wasnt driving like a maniac but I was on the throttle some and later that night I was driving home and went to get on the throttle and it didnt boost it only made this vacuum cleaner type sound and would take forever to get through the rpms. It wouldnt sputter or die out it would just make this loud boost leak type sound. The car still idles fine and doesnt smoke at all while on the throttle. Ive checked all the intercooler piping but it doesnt sound like it would be that, it sounds much different. As far as vacuum hose leaks do you think it could be that or mabey a gasket blew somewhere in the turbo housing? Well any help will be appreciated.

you have a boost leak. pull apart all of the ic piping and connectors and inspect them closely, you probly have a tiny slit the is venting your boost. if your vacuum is fine then it probly isn't a vacuum line, it should be in the ic piping (before the throttle body).

Buy a boost gauge - sell the cat back if you have to.
