strange shaking?

for some reason my car started doing a very strange shaking thing about a week ago. It only happens in first and second gear and only at WOT. It doesn't do it if you rev it or if you tach it out slowly. It boosts fine and runs fine except for when you nail it. I tried changing plugs hoping it was ignition break up, nothing. Ive checked eveything I can think of but I have no idea what it could be. if some one could give me some ideas it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

no its not as bad as wheel hop. it just starts shaking and the exhaust changes a little.

possibly a clogged cat?, if so I wouldn't floor it a lot all that built up pressure could blow the motor

Sounds almost identical to the boost problems i was having on my FD. My car is stock and had the same "hesitation" feeling at WOT mainly in 2nd and 3rd gear. The problem got worse and worse. Finally i figured out i had a vacuum leak and ended up replacing all my OEM vac lines with silicone ones. My car now runs like a raped ape.

If you can keep your boost at 10PSI, which will be next to impossible with no restrictions in the exhaust.
So i'm saying no.
Not to mention something about having a flame thrower under my car would make me nervous.

gutted my cat to rule that out. didn't help. i think it is in the drivetrain. i've been looking around for anything loose underneath but can't find anything.

my thoughts exactly. i think i'll try putting some motor mounts in it. they don't look broke but i could shake the engine a little with my hand.
