Strange Noise?

First of, I've search and it's not the mooo sound coming from the air pump... I know cause I don't have an Air pump.

Anyway, I'm driving down the road doing about 4K under boost (8-10ish) and shift when i hear a sound that sounds very much like an owl... or as my friend AdominalSnoman says, a wolf owl... or a wowl (it will kick any liger's ***).

Any idea as to what this might be?

Some added information, my mods are:

GReddy FMIC
GReddy Intake
GReddy Ti Catback
GReddy Air Pump Elimination Pulleys

DP, MP (no idea as to brand).
PFC
850 / 1200cc P/S Injector
Walbro 255 FP

Thanks guys!

-Gianny

The noise happens when you shift? Or while still accelerating before shifting?

Check this thread:

Near the end, some people found the TCA the cause of their "owl in the engine bay".

I believe it's when I shift... however, it could be while accelerating before my shift... since I'm under boost I'm accelerating, then I shift. But I'm pretty sure it's when I shift under boost. It doesn't do it all the time, only when I'm having fun and under boost... but not every time.

Well on the drive home it didn't do it... but I did get a lot of white smoke while the car was at idle (not yet at op. temp.) a few mins after start up. It stopped after I turned the motor off and restarted.

Going to start searching on that one, but if anyone has an idea, please feel free to pipe in.

Mahjik, thanks for the link! Will have to look into that! Parts of it sounds like what I'm experiencing!
Thanks guys!
