Exclamation Stored car for 6mnths wont start/ dead fuel pump?

Just like the title says let the car sit for 6 months now it wont fire. All fuses+relays are good, and new plugs. Looked at the fpr while trying to start it and it sits at 0, got out the dmm tested the wires going to the pump... big white/red wire 0volts blue 10-12 volts, other 2 flow some voltage as well.

I cut the big white/red wire hooked it up to the batt, turned the key... still not hearing the pump.

I cleaned the ground on top of the lid and everything.

Center coil is the leading, those wires go to the bottom plugs. Top wire goes to rotor 1 (front).

Frontmost coil is for the 1 trailing (top plug, front rotor).

Rearmost coil is for the 2 trailing (top plug, rear rotor).

Like I mentioned on AIM, use your datalogit to make sure you have IDC and RPM when you're cranking.

This really has me baffled... Guess I gotta dissemble the uim and check out the wiring, pulled the plugs smelled gas but my lighter wont ignite whatever is on the plug. I put in a bottle of iso heet and tried starter fluid but still no luck.

Plug wires are on correct and they look good...

Rich I dont have a dataloggit either :/

Start checking your ignition wiring. Make sure you didn't get any rodents or anything which may have lunched on your wires.

Not that this has anything to do with the issue at hand, but once you get it started and good to go; it might be a good idea to re-wire the fuel pump.

Guess I might find out after I pull the UIM.

maybe when storing for long periods, might be good idea to set rodent traps all around the car where it sits? or place sticky mats all underneath the car. or both.

Only one wire per coil will have 12v, just check both. Make sure to turn your key on first.

Checked the harness closely, no damage done... but I did find that the main ground for the electrical harness came off the p/s stub, so maybe thats why my coils werent gettin power. I found a new bolt and bolted it back up to the block. I am hoping that it will start now, I have went over just about everything.

That ground will typically stop the car from being able to fire if it's not grounded properly. Hopefully that's the only problem with your car.

Cleaned the plugs as well, gotta wait till my buddy gets here since I let him borrow my dmm. Need it so I can see if these coils are getting power yet... Ill test the plug on the elec harness...
