Stoopid FD suspension question
I have a project in mind involving a salvage FD and a little of this and a little of that.
The car is about 700 miles away (save your fingers, it's already bought!), I don't have access locally to an FD to look at what I'm curious about, so I have come to the experts. 
Is the FD front and rear suspension on removeable subframes (like a Miata), or are the control arm/diff/etc mount points on the body shell, like an FC?

You should be able to find your answers in the shop manual and parts fiche. You'll need to know that information to perform your install anyway.

The rear suspension components and differential are bolted to the rear subframe, so it can be removed as a unit, if necessary (two 17mm nuts and two 17mm bolts per side). The shocks, brake line to the rear subframe, emergency brake cables, and ABS sensors will have to be disconnected/unbolted first.
The front lower control arms connect to the engine subframe, but the upper control arms bolt to the front frame rails. To drop the engine subframe, you'd have to unbolt the shocks and upper control arms, brake lines, ABS sensors, and engine mounts (if there's still an engine in the car, you'll have to support it somehow), and then unbolt the subframe (two 17mm nuts and one 17mm bolt per side). There are probably a couple things I'm forgetting, but that's basically it.
So to answer your question, most of the suspension is connected to removable subframes.
