Stock twins vs single turbo weight

Does anyone know the weight of the stock twin turbos and the manifold?

My single turbo kit comes in two packages of 25lbs and 38lbs so total of 63lbs.

A-Spec info says their regular GT35R kit has weight savings of over 25lbs over the stock system.

Are the stock twins and the manifold around 85lbs?

Yeah it sounded heavy to me too, that's why I wanted to check. 38lbs package has the turbo, dual wastagates and fittings inside. 25lbs package has the manifold, dp and other bits and pieces inside.

If you get a stainless turbine housing (TiAL, Comp,etc...) you can save 10 pounds off the turbo.

I almost went tial route but decided to go t4 divided in the end. Eitherway if turbo is approx. 20lbs, wastagates 4lbs each, it makes 28lbs. How much can the manifold and dp be? Something doesn't add up or I'm miscalculating. I want weight reduction not addition

How much do stock twins and manifold weight? Anyone?

areXseven in that thread posted this:

"They weighed 32 Lbs.

The subect Twins used for our non-destructive weight inspection consisted of:

Complete Turbo Assembly with 42K miles off a 1994 Auto FD.

The Components were:
An HT12 Primary and Secondary Turbo Assembly attached to the Turbo Exhaust Manifold. Oil and Water inlet and return lines were left attached as well as the WG/PC Actuators w/rods. 4 DP studs were also attached to the assembly."

I hope I'm reading wrong and I know I should've searched before (and I kind of did) but doesn't single turbo conversion reduce weight? 1 turbo instead of 2 and ss manifold instead of cast.......

Most of the crap I will ditch during single conversion is light and plastic which will be replaced with bigger and heavier radiator and intercooler

Maybe the oem downpipe is heavy, not sure.

Well for 1 you're worried about adding the weight of the dp for the single conversion, but not including the weight of the stock downpipe.

stock twins weigh ~37 lbs.

I just dropped 17 lbs going from full non sequential to single turbo t04r. I weighed everything I took off in a box compared to everything I put on, including my cold air intakes.
