Stock turbos gone!! New Turbo time! Any suggestions??

So, my turbos are leaking and to make a long story short, I need new turbos. I have about $2k to play around with. I want to put in one big turbo and get rid of my AC and get a new intercooler...basically stuff I wanted to do when my motor blew. But fate would have it that my turbos went out first. Funny thing is, I had everything else figured out and what I wanted, but no idea on what of turbo I wanted. My motor is being rebuilt as we speak....but I'm stuck on what turbo to get. Someone told me to get the T4 (or something like that) But I had heard that those suck a$$!!!

Any one got any suggestions, do's and dont's, a certain brand of turbo you recommend???

$2k is not even close to enough to go single, not unless you have all of the other mods in place to support a single turbo and you know what you're doing...

Yes, I know what i'm doing, yes everything else is in place. Stand alone systems and everything. I don't want a HUGE single turbo that works at 15 PSI and doesn't finish spooling until 6 Grand. I've always wanted to do a single turbo upgrade, but not one that's tempting enough to push to 30PSI then watch my engine blow up. (had that happen to my friend in his supra)

I'm running a power FC custom exhaust, down pipe, stainless steel mandrel-bent turbo manifold. T-O4 turbo and only going to run 12 pounds of boost and custom V-mount intercooler piping, upgraded injectors too; primaries and secondaries. I was thinking about using an AEM EMS, but I came across a power FC used for a good price, so I'm running that instead.

Don't worry, I've already upgraded cooling and run a Fluidyne radiator and samco silicone radiator hoses.

Just wanted to see what other people had and what they where running. I'm not looking to get high horse power. I want to upgrade from stock, but not looking to get 600hp to the wheels.

Maybe later on I'll add a T66....but I don't feel like running race fuel only.

Even this is going to be well over $2k. Good quality kits (Turbo manifold, downpipe, wastegate, etc...) are usually $3 - $4 grand and upgraded fuel systems (injectors, FPR, pump, rail, etc.) are anywhere from $400 - $600. A custom V-mount is going to cost a pretty penny too (I would guess, if you do it well, around $2k). In all seriousness, if you only have 2k to spend consider geting a used set of stockers, BNR's, or 99 spec turbos.
