Stock Turbo Questions....Please Help

I'm involved in an engineering senior project called, Formula SAE at my university, and plan to turbocharge a Honda CBR600 engine for a small go-kart type car. Unfortunately, a friend of mine totaled his '93 and we want to use the turbos off it for the car we're building. I have a few questions that with answers can help me greatly along the way. I knew I could turn to you guys.

1.) What kind of turbo is it (model#)? I think I recall hearing they were Hitachi?
2.) Can anyone lead me in the right direction to get compressor maps or does anyone have them?
3.) A/R Ratios, CFM?
4.) Are the 2 turbos identical? Differences?
5.) What is the wastegate regulated at? If possible how can it be tuned to a lower boost level? Adjustment possible? Or do I need a boost controller?

I'm sure with our free-flowing intake and exhaust the boost might spike to a higher level than the wastegate was designed to maintain. Any help is appreciated.

I've heard that the stock turbos are Hitachi H12, I think I saw some maps at the Hitachi web site. As I recall these are appropriate up to about 200 hp each. This might be a tad more power than you want for a cart, especially since the power will be even more non linear than the motorcycle engine already is.

You will need a boost controller. It doesn't need to be complex or electronic, it just needs to open the waist gate at the appropriate pressure. You might look into using a blowoff valve as well.

Aside from a lot of fabrication, does the CBR have an oil source for the turbo?

Unless you are heavily modifying the CBR, this is probably too much turbo.

Of course I've never done what you are doing so my advice is worth what you paid for it. (nothing)
