Need to buy a new front bumper...which one???

I rear ended a car yesterday...Some jackass decided to stop on the freeway onramp! Anyway, it looks like my insurance is going to probnably buy a new front bumper instead of strpping and repainting mine. Which aftermarket bumper should I get if they allow me to buy a dififerrent one? I can't decide.

why not go with the 99 spec if you're not doing the whole car

I like the look of the Mazdaspeed GTC a whole lot. If you wanted to be different, and spend some more dough, you could get the R-magic valence with the sleek lights built in.

i'm a big fan of body kits, but the 7 is a different beast when it comes to this sort of thing...for some reason alot of body kits ruin the smooth lines the 7 was concieved with...like i said earlier, go with the 99 if no the whole kit...
if you're doing the whole thing consider Sanai Fighting D or the Auto EXE...talk to canman6969

The FD is a beautiful car - naturally. The lines are smooth and clean. Why not stay with the 99 spec to maintain the integrity of the design?

Kits are nice..there are some good ones out there but remember that you may have better luck re resale if you don't go radical.

I'm not a big fan of Body kits at all. I'd rather spend $$$ on BPU's. I may go with th 99 or something fairly tame and close to stock looking. I think Rikki. has a good looking updated nose...don't know which one, though.

Well, the picture in my post is the Apexi, however I like Border fronts better (like the one BicuspiD posted).

You can also get the Border front without the '99 spec lights. Border fronts are sweet, and need no front lip added or anything. Just nice!

Get a stock one. I doubt insurance will pay for anything more.

Pettit's '99-spec minus license plate. Looks like it has a stupid grin or something, I don't like it

Well, the 99 spec has the advantage of being made of urethane, not fiberglass, so it will be much more durable.

How many problems do you guys have with the fiberglass bumpers? As far as chipping, cracking, etc.

if you dont like the pettit one in the picture it is probably because it's so plain

you could add some mesh to the background, some foglights, an emblem

I think that would make it look nice trust me it doesn't look worse than the stock front bumper at all

stop posting the damn border bumper I'm the only one that's supposed to get that one

Red face Nose Job

I'm with the rest of the guys on this one. Go with the 99 spec or the new Mazdaspeed R spec.

I haven't seen the Rspec one, but I love the look of the Cwest one.

Ok, I just got my first estimate back form the Mercury Ins. Inspector. They are only going to pay for a $397.00 remanuf bumper. So I'll have to pay the difference on what ever i buy...

Tell them: "This bumper was new before it was hit! I want a new bumper! Not some Reman crap!"

Then threaten to call the state insurance commissioner

You'll get your money... probably.

Also, if they're giving you $397, think of it as a $397 discount on a feed II bumper or whatever you get...

Normally the bumper is $650 and the lights are $380..

Think of it as a $333 Part. Not too bad.
