Question Stock Rpm Gauge problem

Hello, my rpm gauge (OEM) sometimes give some wrong indication, like is floating between 300 and 4500 rpm while i'm driving steady in 5° at 100 km/h
Is not the cluch, since should be easy to understand from the sound and it dosen't change.
Does any one had similar problem??
Thanks
Pietro

Common problem - search for tach and solder. The solder joints break in the electronics for the gauge, making it jump all over creation.

I took mine off and just tightened all the little brass screws in the back and mine works fine again.
