Stock rad. fan question for the elec. gurus...
Lately I have been going through the engine bay cleaning up some "ghetto rigging" done by my "x" mechanic. (Lately have had the time to do things on my own.) Here is the current issue. My fans are currently set up as follows. They run all the time at one speed. (When the ignition is turned.) The blue and yellow wires to each fan are only connected. Directly to switched 12v. ign. source. Anyone know what setting the fans are running at? (low, med, or high?) With the warmer weather I have been running 195F average at highway cruise and up to 210F when driving "hard". I also am using a front mount intercooler but do have the koyo radiator ..I am suspecting the fans are not at the high setting and I want to rewire to use a switch to vary the speed "fan mod.".. Any help? Thanks GArret......
what year is your car...I see bLue/Orange and Yellow/White on the fan connectors, and one Red/Yellow on No.1
and I can't think of a reason to wire L/O to 12V...stock that is GND.
Have the 4 relays been tampered with? or just the connectors on the fans themselves?
