Stock FD twins

are they ceramic? i searched to no avail.i am just wondering.ceramic turbo's dont like to much heat or boost also correct?

I don't think there is a single parts of the stock turbos that is ceramic... cast iron, steel, and aluminum.

BTW, why would you think something that wwas ceramic wouldn't like heat? Ceramic materials are very heat resistant... they don't conduct it well and they don't retain it well.

i dont know.aren't RB26 turbo's ceramic and they dont like boost i heard?
or am i just looking like a even bigger noob now? lol
edit: 1jz turbo's are also ceramic and blow after a month of hard boosting...

ceramic coating retains heat so the turbos will heat soak quicker and tend to crack internally much faster than not having them coated is what i gather from other people's experience with it. but they sure do look nice.
