stock fd only bosting 5 psi?????

i have a 93 fd with 56k on it.....shouldnt it be boosting 8-10-8 psi........ instead of just 5 psi at all times?........

Yes, you have a boost leak...follow the turbo troubleshooting links in the FAQ thread.

boost leak is this gonna damage the motor or juss not gonna give me al the power im sopposed to get?....but im waiting for the greddy front mount intercooler wit the piping and elbow.....should i fix the problem or wait for the intercooler!

Im no expert, but I dont think that will hurt the car, just make you lose power.....

1) Yes, the leak can cause the turbos to be overworked some. Not a major issue, but it isn't perfectly harmless.

2) I doubt the coupler that is leaking comes with that kit. You should find the leak now, so if the coupler is not in the kit you can order it and install them all at once. No point taking it all apart twice.

dgeesaman is right, it's not completely harmless, but I'd rather drive around with low boost anyday than too much! I value my apex seals too much
