Stock EGT light?

Does the stock EGT light really work? what temp does it come on? Is there a way to tap off the main sensor? Just wondering?

its not really a temp sensor more like a temp switch. and its located way back where the cat is. its not good for anything besides sensing a cat thats overheating. not sure what temp it comes on at.

That idot light is merely a sensor in the floor under the passenger seat. It's sole purpose is to tell you that "The cat is getting so hot I am concerned you may set the car on fire" I don't know how hot it has to be to come on, but I have never seen mine light and it runs hard quite often.

I agree, mine has never come on and my car is often run to its limits.

Mine would come on in my first gen every now and then.. the airpump line was missing and I never bothered to replace it. Unless there's a problem like a clogged cat or your're running rich as hell, I don't think you'll see it much.
