Stock battery tie down: Same as FC?

My car never had a battery tie down and I was wondering if I could use the tie down from an FC? I tried searching but all I found was posts about smaller batteries.

thanks!

I don't know about it being the same as the FC, but you could easily just buy 2 j-bolts and make a cross brace to accomplish the same thing.

I managed to find one in the parts forum for $5.

The J-bolts are identical. The metal cross brace is different. I tried to use my FD brace on an FC, and the J-bolts wouldn't match to the hooks on the battery tray.

I think a new brace from Mazda is pretty cheap, though.

Or get a 51r battery and one of Turbojeff's stainless trays - that's the way I went .
