Stock Alarm? Removal?
Ok I am in the process of installing a Clifford Matrix RS 3 alarm in the 93 FD touring. I went to un-install the old alarm which I believe to be stock. I get in there and pull the brain and the shock sensor(I think) and look at them. The brain has no sticker on it or wording indicating what brand of alarm it is? so this is the first question I have, what kind of alarm is the stock alarm? I then looked on the attached sensor and it says Audiovox, so my conclusion is that this is just that. Now, I really would like to use the leads from the stock alarm to wire the Matrix Rs 3 up. There are relays already done up and everything. To make a long story short, I want to find a diagram for this "stock"/audiovox? alarm so I can cross reference the wiring and do it that way. I bet there is some of you out there that have done the same thing. Can anyone help me with this? Old wiring diagram? way to find out what model this alarm is? Thanx if anyone can give me some guidance on this.
try the interior/audio/electronics portion of the forum. If you have the FSM electrical diagram for the security ECU it will give you the wire colors for all the inputs your probably looking for as all the wires are already right there in the drivers kick panel for the hood doors, and trunk. I doubt anyone will post the security diagram on the forum for obvious reasons but it can be had and may be in the 94 FSM stickied at the top of the 3rd gen forum. Jack

Duh!! I guess I wasn't really thinking about that
Thanx Jack, I guess I was just trying to figure out the model #. I will try the FSM. I did include some pics so you know what I am looking at.

Sounds like your already running an aftermarket alarm as the stock one doesn't have a shock sensor, if it was installed properly by someone that knew what they were doing and didn't butcher it up then the stock wirring diagram should help. Damn that's a mess !!!

The stock alarm has no motion sensor. The item you pictured is aftermarket. It looks like the system was installed by savages, which seems to be typical these days.
The stock alarm is entirely contained in CPU #2 (see picture below) which is in the driver kick panel behind the mess of wires in your picture. However, you cannot just remove it because it contains other circuitry too, e.g., turn signal flashers, warning beep, seat belt warning light etc.
The wiring diagram (found in the sticky at the top of the forum) shows a full schematic.
Also, the Body Electrical Troubleshooting manual (listed in the same sticky) has a good walkthrough of the alarm inputs.

Installing an alarm on an FD generally involves intercepting some of the wires going to and coming from CPU #2.
However, first I would get the wiring back to stock and go through all the checks in the Body/Electrical manual to verify that you have rewired correctly.
