Stock airbox hose info?

Lookin for pics or info on stock airbox..... Small outlet pipe on right side of box ( standing in front of car ) the rubber hose is gone, wondering where this routes to.... Any info would b great

If it is the one I'm thinking about it doesn't go anywhere. IIRC it is for venting when the BOV release pressure and overpressure the airbox. I believe it usually has a 8 in tube that just loops under the box.

Should it constantly have air flowing out of it? And whistle under throttle? Dont know much about this fd, friend picked it up last weekend for a steal

Dunno, never taken mine off. Seems very reasonable that it would make more noise without the tube though.

Normal or not, it is better that air is flowing out of it due to it being an open inlet that bypasses the filter. I'd get one off a local member if it bothers you, someone nearby you must have taken off their stock airbox and has stuff to sell. You should be able to get it real cheap. Try posting a WTB in your regional classifieds.

That tube does not connect to the air intake but is a blow of from the air pump when not in an exhaust injectio cycle. if memory is corret, inside of box has this area baffled off from normal flow.

Did notice it stops making noise when air pump shuts off.... Just sounds retarded haha like an injured duck
