Stock air box and Mysterious hose?
Hi,
Long story short I bought this car with the engine blown, and I've finally got it all back together... except there is a hose output connector on the airbox that I don't have a connector to. Could someone please check out the picture and tell me what this connector goes to?
TIA

You have discovered the secret "Mazda Mystery Hose". It leads to nowhere; literally. The hose just attaches there and curves under the airbox where it connects to absolutely nothing; it's just a vent. Most of us put find this the first time we take the airbox out and then wonder "where the hell does this go?"

that's the outlet of the silencer that's built into the airbox. The silencer is for the airpump (discharge?) usually there's a pipe that just direcs the air downwards, it's safe to leave it as it is.
