stock air box mod, i searched

quick question about performing rob robinette's stock air box mod. i have it all apart and after pulling the foam off it seems as if the brackets holding the radiator in place are in the way. when you guys perform this mod does the duct stop right up against the bracket or did you guys find a way to maybe cut the bracket and fit the duct through it. any help would be great. i searched and found some pics that helped and stuff, but i just needed some answers w/ this. thanks, nick

I got my alu-hoses in place with the foam still there, works nice. you can get at least 2 2" hoses in there if you squize them a little, without cutting in the brackets.

Check My photos in the gallery - I added a Baffle/Duct insted of the alum. tubes I did add 1 short 2" alum tube at the front to direct the air around the front corner of the AC condenser & rad.

I basically did the same thing as maxpeasce. I cut a hole in the bottom and then made an aluminum sheild to direct the air into the intake. I got the idea from looking at the m2 cold air box, it draws air from the same spot. I also have a k&n drop in. Here are some pictures http://briefcase.yahoo.com/wickedrix look under poor mans intake mod. let me know if you have any questions

ok what about the plastic thingy that cover the air intake and attached to the radiator, I assume you can just remove that piece?
