That said, I stand by my comment. GReddy TypeS/TypeR BOV. Guessing TypeR, as they are 99% definitely running over 1 bar.

I hope this all makes sense and the chart helps a bit Most competition cars do not use any sort of BOV for the performance benefits, as stated many times.

thanks Dan. i had glanced at the charts but really didn't give it enough thought to tell what was going on in them. so with the speed that they are shifting and the power they are making, it really doesnt make much sense to have a blow off valve. spool up time after shifts would be very good without. although it would probably be better to have a BOV in a car with less power. looking at the charts, the initial spike after the throttle is closed can represent how much the compresor is slowed, sinse the two are directly related. so having a BOV would help to keep the compressor spinning atleast a little faster than without one. i'm so confused. the only way to know anything is figure out what the high horse race cars are running. to BOV or to not BOV, that is the question.

WHOOOOOOOOOPS!! Well either way, a car sponsored by greddy would not necessarily use a BOV as they'd want to go all out to make the best time around the track to say "Hey buy my products" But If a vet member says it sounds like something or whatever, then I'll take their word for it. It really doesn't matter, it's just a BOV for god sakes. Why do we care what the thing sounds like again?

They've had a site for quite a while. http://www.stillway.com/ Last I checked (a few months ago) it was undergoing construction. Apparently it's down now...

Yes, Signal uses around 1200 for there time attack. Hell Kida's daily is an R34 with 700!

We have achieved over 1300 RWHP in supra's over in the states which leaves no doubt in my mind the Japs have gotten to over 1600+ hp in any of Jap's top contenders. I'm pretty sure those wanguners have gotten some rediclious power!
The Apexi and Veilside R34s run 1200 and 1400 rwhp respectively.

That's cool, but I wasn't stating an opinion. I've dealt w/ Stillway before When you don't know something and are searching for info, and someone offers you that info, it isn't polite to doubt them, especially when they're very verse in that field of info

Ramy, would you happen to know anyplace I could look at a catalog of their stuff? I assume they're still open for business, just overhauling their website. I've seen their stuff in magazines and really want to see what else they've got.

Even when the website was working, they didn't really list their parts...their product catalogue has been under construction for as long as I can remember...

Are you looking for anything specific? B/c I have pics of a good amount of their parts...

That's totally different from having doubt. I question so I can better understand, and see what and why what I thought was wrong. Hopefully you can make the distinction between the two *very* different lines of questioning. In fact, I specifically recall many a time prefacing my question with "Not to doubt you..."

I have a large stillway intercooler sitting in the garage

I picked it up second hand for about $300

Gotta relocate the battery to get it in though! and havent got round to it yet...keep your eye out for the install pics though. The IC is huge compared to standard, probably 4 inches thick, over twice as wide, and higher. Cant wait

Oh, and i must say it is a top quaity piece of kit. I had it in my room for a while and it really does just look so good. The welds, everything about it is beautiful!

the stillway site has never been anything more than a map (and a hopeless one at that) - and has finally totally died. Don't hold your breath waiting for a new one...

anyway, they are big FD sellers on yahoo auctions. Here's a link to their current auctions: http://openuser.auctions.yahoo.co.jp...er/stillway_h?

I'm happy to source anything, as is Ramy, no doubt.

BTW, my FD is stillway tuned - and I'm happy to say they are very good at what they do.

Pity I didn't take my camera - most of you would wet your pants - the cars in and around their workshop are staggering.

LOL you saw that thing too huh? lol. Yea I remember the ENTIRELY empty page minus the map and address lol. I think it had a flag too, but that was when they were trying to get fancy...

What is it w/ these shops in Japan being completely walk-in only? I don't get it...

I hate you lol. That's awesome man. I honestly think Stillway's one of the not-so-popular but *extremely* talented FD tuners and shops...

Pity I didn't take my camera - most of you would wet your pants - the cars in and around their workshop are staggering.
Now I *really* hate you lol.

I just found some pics of stillways new track car...OMFG! im loving the new silver paint! I couldent download the pics, so here is a link. This site is not in English, but if I can figure it out, you can. The new stillway track car is the silver one with the RE Amemiya kit and the giant Red Stillway winshield sticker. There are a ton of other FD pics here as well, enjoy!
