By the way, and I don't know if this helps, but the car is boosting really well right now. I think the colder weather has a lot to do with that, but it is definetly getting to 12-13 psi in a hurry.

okay, I'm thinking that if I had a leak in the UIM gasket, that would case a boost leak too. Why then am I running 13-14 psi.

I think a leaking gasket would have a much greater effect on idle quality than maximum boost pressure. Even though you boost to 13 psi, you could still have a vacuum leak that is screwing up your idle. There is a MUCH greater air flow going through the engine at WOT than idle, and the gasket leak will have a much greater effect at idle.

This is just my educated guess.

Okay, I unplugged the IAC at idle and the car idled down to about 1800 rpms. Now it sits there and when I give it gas, it takes forever for the idle to come down.
