Still havin fuel cut, rx7 is making me mad!!!

You guys probably have seen me post these fuel cut threads before...

Well I took the advice, changed the filter, pump, and cleaned injectors .. still cutting out at 5k rpms. Changed the plugs, coils and wires, still cuts out.

The vacuum hoses were looked at , and all are good. Does anybody have any ideas of what the problem is?? I know it is not cutting out from over boostin btw.

I see nowhere in your post that you said you reset your ECU after doing all that

I think to reset that you just cut the negative on the battery, hold the brake for like 45 seconds and then connect back up...

yeah, reset the ECU. I had a similar issue with mine back when I had a stock ecu and that solved the problem.

Why only 8psi? Stock is 10.

With fuel cut it's actually pretty smart to only run 8 psi instead of 10 if he was assuming he wasn't getting enough fuel.

I just went ahead and dropped the car off at mazda. The car now goes over 5k rpms , they said some wires for the computer were loose or something. But now my bov does not go off. I noticed that the hose from the main bov goes straight to the crv, before it went to the manifold, and was way louder. Should i switch it back to the manifold, if i do that then which hose do i switch into the crv? Also when i switch gears and step on it, sometimes it will bogg down and get all rough. It did this before but its now getting me mad...

the BOV line goes to the UIM nipple.

go do a search for "vacuum hose diagram" for a illustration and then check all your connections.

which Mazda dealership did you go to? it sounds like they didn't know what they were doing.

PM me if you want to talk about this offline - I work in Durham.
