Steering Wheel-Airbag transplant?

Hi, does anyone know about the new Miata's steering wheel? I know I can make it fit onto the boss, but will the airbag still work on a FD? I'm ready to do this and need to know, I don't want to lose my airbag, but the stock steering wheel sucks.

I would get an old , blown, FD airbag to get the proper connectors off from. Unless you want to cut & splice your steering column wire harness. In which case you can use the Miata connectors.
The benifit of getting the proper connectors is easy swap back to stock.
The air bag wires have no specific polarity (+/-).
I have a 99 J-Spec Nardi wheell, w/bag, in my FD.
As far a compatabilty, once you convert the connector & plug it in, everything works the same (air bag light).
Plus it looks 100% better
