steering wheel with air bag

Need to take stering wheel off to center it on car but it has the air bag installed ,how do i take it off without inflating the air bag.

Assuming that it is the stock wheel and hasn't been removed before....don't remove it to center it. take it to a shop and get it aligned, that should take care of it.

yes its stock

its stock wheel that has not been removed but the alignment shop said the steering wheel has to be removed to center it.Find that hard to believe.

There is a fuse for the Airbag under the dash with the rest of the fuses but I dont know if that would stop it from blowing out, Ive been pondering the same thing for a few days now... but I havent gotten a new steering wheels yet anyway, If you do try it let me know if it works...

i disconected my battery and then stepped on the brake pedal to release any left over power in the system. i changed mine with no problems.
