Starts, farts. dies
My son put the car back to stock, ecu, harness and all. First problem, no fuel. No voltage to the relays, not sure what's going on there, no blown fuses. It has a re-wired fuel pump with a relay installed in the rear. I've rigged up a toggle switch to fire up the pump. Now it starts, runs rough for a few seconds, smokes like a ****, backfires, dies. Acts (I think) like a vac leak, but can't find one so far.
I know this is vague info at best, but I'd appreciate any tips.

What color smoke?
Were there any problems before he went back to stock?
What exactly did he put back in to goto stock?
Make sure all the plugs are pressed into the ECU.

Really gassy, whitish smoke. Engine ran before this, it did have a miss in it. Plug wires were trashed, new ones on now. Also ran rich.
I'll get sacker90 to chime in on exactly what he had/took out, I'm not completely sure. I'm just trying to help him get the thing running. Thanks for the suggestions.
