Starting problems

Okay guys, heres the deal, after doing the dreaded vacuum job, my car decided that it didn't want to start. I need some help diagnosing the problem. Here's the basic run-down:

About 1 week ago, I parked to car to do a vacuum hose replacement job. Car was running extremely strong, but with a few minor problems (vacuum of 11 inHg at idle, idling at 600rpm, and a small boost problem with my TC solenoid) which is why I needed to do the hose job. Worked on and off on the car for amost a week, and finally finished putting everything back together today. Tried starting her after we put her all back together, with no luck. The starter is definately turning it over, but it just doesn't want to start.

Checked the ignition system (as this seems to be the only logical place, considering I never messed with anything on the fuel system). I am definately getting spark from the coils and through the wires.

Suganuma suggested to me that the problem could be with the plugs, as a similar thing happened to him. So, we pulled a leading plug out and it looks extremely carboned. But here's the deal. The car was running fine before I started tearing into it, so I thought it was kind of weird for plugs to just instantly die like that. Plus, I've never experienced a car not wanting to start due to bad plugs. True, they will definately make the car run poor, but I've just never seen bad plugs causeing a failure in starting.

So thats my basic situation. Tomorrow morning, I'm gonna head out and try to replace the leading plugs with a couple of decent used ones that I have (have yet to order new ones), and pray like hell that it cranks over. However, if the plugs aren't the problem, anyone have any other suggestions?? I'm open to just about any thought right now....

Thanks a lot fellas,
Rob

So it was running before you did the hose job, correct? Is it possible that you missed a hose somewhere and correct back pressure is not being obtained? I dont know, just thinking aloud here....

Yes, it was running fine before the hose job. At this point, almost anything is a possibility. However, I made sure to do one hose at a time, so I wouldn't have any problems. Plus I checked, double checked and tripple checked (even had a buddy check it out) to make sure that all the hoses are connected, and they are not kinked at all. So anyway, I don't think it has to do with the hoses. Thanks for throwing out some ideas for me though.

Has anyone had similar problems to this?

yep, I tried replacing the plugs and ensuring the wires were on nice and tight. No help. Still doesn't want to start.

I doubt its flooded, because I haven't cranked on it that much, and its been sitting for a week before that, but I'll try to unflood it just to be sure.

Any one else have any ideas?
