Question Starting problem help

My car hasnt been starting for the last month and im waiting for money to take it to the shop. I was just wondering if the ignition control box(pretty sure thats not what its supposed to be called) under the hood is a known failing point at all. I searched but obviously not really knowing whats wrong doesnt help too much. When i turn the key i get no click, but everything resets(radar detector, cd player).

ignition switch is notorious for failing, when this happened to me I held the brake down for like 10 seconds or something while it was off and everything was fine after that. My windows, mirrors, winsheild wipers, nothing was working, I did that and POOF! It all worked again.

Could be a discharged battery. have you measured the voltage?

It's gonna be hard to figure out much without a multimeter. If you do, check FSM page G-4.

That could be alot of things, if your car don't crank. However is alot easy to figure out then if your car crank but don't start. Failure point could be, starter, starter relay, cluctch switch(not the one on top of the padel, the one behind it) for a maunal car, nautral switch (park switch), fuse, or the wiring between these components.
If you have no idea what i talking about, I suggest you just take it to a shop. unless you plan on spending hours to so research online about car's starting system.

Oops, didn't know you had a new battery. Are you sure all the connections are solid? What happens if you have the headlights on and turn the ignition key to the START position? Do they dim a lot, or just a little?

They will only dim a little, battery voltage was 12.5 (fluke meter), solid battery connections, and i jumped the clutch switch right behind the pedal, but nothing different happened.
