CA Starting/ignition issue

Having trouble starting up my fd. I initially thought that I had a bad starter, however using a screwdriver to jump power to the ignition trigger terminal I realized the starter was fine and car would start, idle, and drive fine. I’m not very good with electrical but I was able to use a multimeter to check if I was getting full voltage through the ignition trigger wire coming from the ignition switch. I had a friend turn the key and got 4.12 volts. I thought using the banzai starter relay would solve the problem but I guess I was wrong. Do I need to run a whole new wire? Any help would be appreciated.

Read up on the click-click-start issue, there's a long thread on it. It's not uncommon to have low voltage on the "small" wire to the starter.

The starter booster like the one Banzai Racing has can help a lot. But if you're getting really low voltage there may be another issue. You'll have to get the multimeter out and check voltage down to the wire itself.

Okay will check further up the wire to see if maybe corrosion or something is causing voltage drop. Also another thing worth mentioning is that when I tried to start the car it doesn't give any type of feedback of trying to start. No clicks from the starter. Would that mean that voltage is so low that its not enough to even click or could it be a separate issue entirely?
