Starting car up when cold and its shaky
probably sealing differently when cold, so different compression will make it wobbly. then once it warms they all seal well and u're set.

That sounds totally normally. Rotary engines are always a little shakey when they're really cold and you rev a little high (~2krpm). Third gen specific forums are overrun by people thinking they have problems.
^^ agreed. The shakiness is normal. I just had my motor rebuilt, so it's got like 100 miles now, but first few mins it idles rough. My shop builder has like 20 years building these, so when he says that's normal, I would have to agree
