? Starter cable questions and solenoid interchangeability

My solenoid that is acting up, but I'm upgrading the wires while I'm there.

After reading the archives, the consensus seem to be that the starter cables (positive and negative) are fairly weak components in the chain.

Hence, I'd like to replace them with 4-gauge or 2-gauge wire.

Does anyone know the lengths and ring connector size so I can make these ahead of time ?

Also, are the stick and automatic starter solenoids interchangeable ?

TIA,
:-) neil

www.rotaryresurrection.com has a nice bit on replacing the power cables and grounds.

looking at the parts diagram, the starter solenoid (assuming I'm looking at the right one, 24-760 "Switch") does not appear to be interchangeable between the manual and automatic versions. They are not the same part numbers. I suggest you go to www.iluvmyrx7.com, download it, and look for yourself on page 1-J8.
