Started my motor for the first Time

Ok if you read the post below (ported motor question) I tried starting the car with stock ECU. As I said the car has a new ported motor, single turbo set up, no emissions, ie. airpump ect. , My fuel system is stock (what am tring to do is just start it up and i wanna break in the motor with stock fuel setup), I cranked it over and it started, but just idled really high (2600rpm). I let it run added coolant, all fluids are good, no leaks. 5min later still idled @ 2500rpm. The idle still rough. tried to rev, and the car would not go past 3500rpm, breaks up. It seems like it dumping alot of fuel. Any too rich to lean ??? Any idea's?
Thanks

Did you place resistors in the plugs for the ECU on the things that you removed for your single install?

you shouldn't be revving it anyways, you start a new motor and let it idle for about 20minutes, or an hour if it's new rotor housings

you're making a big, pointless, stupid mistake by trying to "squeeze by", skimping out on a $1000 computer right now will result in a $3000 motor later

i had rob golden explain it to me (www.pineappleracing.com)

you'd be surprised how much timing has to do w/ compression strokes and compression pressures

a few degrees of timing can bring cylinder pressures from 2000psi down to 1200psi under full combustion

First, check the fast idle cam nearest the firewall. It has a coolant line going into it. May need adjustment on the fast idle cam.

Next, check to make sure you didn't swap the fuel thermosensor with the water thermosensor like I did.

Finally, you may have a vaccum leak somewhere.
