Standalones on Stock

Was thinking lately, what extremes can i go with ECUs like MoTec and AEM on stock motor.

if i wana learn about data logging while NOT damaging or disturbing the way my almost uber stock-running-perfect 13B-REW.

Is there ever a guide available to learn how to tune, MoTec or AEM datelogging?

You should check the Engine Management section:

https://www.rx7club.com/engine-management-forum-37/

There are sub-forums for various ECU manufacturers.

just remember that one of the hardest things about tuning is getting your car to run just like it did on the stock ECU--holding a stable idle under all conditions, getting decent gas mileage (relatively speaking), and having smooth acceleration.

if you've never tuned a standalone before you are looking at a lot of work to get close to stock driveability
