Stalls with the AC on - suggestions?
I just had the whole AC system rebult and recharged. The engine has about 4000 miles on the rebuild and always fires right up and runs perfectly. Today I drove the car 30 miles on the highway and then came off the highway and came to a red light. The RPM's dropped and the car stalled out. Fired it back up and went to where I was going.
Parked it and then cranked up the AC high again - it stalled out. This car has never stalled on me ever until today while using the AC after a highway drive.
I don't have a big stereo system, the alternator is a only a year old refurbished from Gotham. I do run a mini battery if anyone thinks that might be a concern. The battery was actually fully charged last night (trickle charged it).
Any suggestions on what I should be looking at here?
Thanks
Dave
