stainless steel lines...EVERYWHERE!!

Just out of pure innovation, would it be a bad idea to make all fuel, oil, etc. lines braided stainless steel lines with quick disconnects at the end?

I work on aircraft and notice that it is common on planes, just thought it would be a neat idea to have for a car

expensive and a little impractical. you also need to be careful they don't rub through other hoses and wiring near them.

banzai racing has done it on one of their shop cars, they tap 1/16 NPT and install AN fittings. but it is definitely going to be expensive.

no thanks, just use the nylon hoses. Much easier to work with and you don't have to worry about all that SS laying over your ignition wires......
