Sills are aluminum...
If they were stainless, they would be beefier.
Aluminum usually has turned (radiused) edges like the sills
while fabricating Stainless Steel, it usually has snapped (harder) edge

Well aluminum or steel . I don't care about prone to damage either. I was asking for info on where to get them. If there are any left. The site I referenced to with the stainless one says no longer available when you click on them.

I bet you can find a pair if you wait it out used as well. I just saw a good condition set go locally. I actually had a set myself but sold them because they would scuff to easily and you had to drill into the car to install them.

I wouldn't buy a new set unless I got them plated and if you are going that route you might as well go used. Maybe you can put some clear bra material on it?

I tried to buy a set from them a year ago, they told me then they had been sold out for a long time.

I like those guys but they seriously need to update their website.

I gave up finding a decent set of aluminum ones, I just bought a CF set from Ronin.

They are doing a group buy here:

I have a set, but they're pretty scratched up. They look great as long as you can keep them from getting damaged. The problem is it's practically impossible to keep them looking perfect. If you want to buy them, my suggestion is to keep the stock plastic ones installed and just swap them when you want to show off the car.

Another option for CF Door Sills is on this forum in the Group Buy section: https://www.rx7club.com/group-buy-center-69/fd-carbon-fiber-door-sill-group-buy-939125/

From what I understand, Ronin makes a great product, I don't believe you will be disappointed with theirs or mine.

lwnslw... I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out your comment. I actually looked back up the thread to see what I missed. You're talking about the door sills, right? When you pointedly say, "I would NEVER install those" and follow with the ha-ha thing, it suggests you find something very upsetting about the sills. Do they sort of "bother" you or what? Did a gaudy misanthropic door sill whack you when you were young? You are the first person in the 15 years or so I've been on the forum who has ever commented that putting OEM aluminum door sills on the FD is laughable. Risible. There's a funny string of 3 words I have always found interesting in the English language. I don't think there is another example of it. The words are bantering, persiflage, and raillery. Now, I dabble in bantering and occasionally delve into a little well-intended persiflage, like here, but, if I found some insignificant something typed in the forum about a part I didn't personally like too much, but was a common thing among the vast majority of the other owners and a Mazda part and one that very few notice -- you just don't get that many Men of Steel doing a TSA scan through the closed door and few drive with their doors open really -- would I subject that person to some form of derision? Nope. Do I perhaps get a kind of vibe here that you may see using cheap plastic or going naked on the sills as a more manly treatment? Or, maybe its just that you track your car a lot and guys who are serious about tracking their cars are, well, just more serious, eh? Anyway, you made me think. Thanks.

Gordon
G,
I own a set myself.... Although I painted mine Black.

I stated I wouldn't install those because they are "NOS" (New Old Stock) and I would not want to get them scuffed/dented or ruined in anyway...I would have them as display pieces ONLY..... Guess my post was NOT thorough enough as my thought was....... That's what happens when my thoughts travel faster than my typing.... HA HA..

Good Day SIR....
