I know I talked about this in another thread on the subject but I didn't use the pipes the kit came with. With the greddy elbow and turbojeff battery tray I moved the whole mess over so as to make room for a cold air box (yet to be constructed). $125 + shipping for the I/C kit, $60 for some k&ns ordered from Advance, and some junkyard/home depot engineering. That's my kind of upgrade
I have finally been running mine quite a bit during tuning. I am using a fiberglass duct I made. I will be relocating the intake sensor to the elbow for more accurate measurements. Temperatures are running around 10-20 deg F above ambient.
I have one. No problems here. I modified the stock duct to work untill I figure out a better solution. The intercooler is cool to the touch after hard runs on the highway, but at the strip it gets pretty hot after one run. Proper ducting would probably help alot. My opinion is its alot better than the stocker, and at $100 it really can't be beat. A great solution for those of use that have no money left over after paying the gas companies. BTW, my quarter mile time and trap speed did not improve after installation, though there was a good year between the two runs and conditions had changed. Money well spent but a V-Mount is still on my wish list.
