that would be a problem, do you have any oil leaks? any strong smell of gas when the car is running? if not i would move to a bubble test and try to source the leak also what ECU are you running? i know the stage 3 turbos have a bigger CHRA thus pushing more air into the motor causing possible lean conditions messing with the idle. i know the stock Ecu on the FD is a very slow and "Retarded" unit and thats being nice . but what worries me is when you saying your only getting 6-7 PSI of vac pressure it should be around 16 inches of vacuum (inHg) or a little higher.

hmmmm. what condition and what type of gaskets were used on the turbo manifold to block when you put the BNR unit? and did you remove the upper intake manifold to lower intake manifold? if so i would also inspect that gasket sometimes if using a paper gasket between the UIM and LIM they go bad and leak, and start to act like a reed when air squeezes past it.

get a spray bottle, fill with soapy water, while the car is running spray a good amount on the rats nest and all other vacuum lines and intake or any thing that may cause a leak. then watch for bubbles if any leaks bubbles will show and you know where the source of your problem is.

not entirely, to make things easier have a very bright light, make sure car is cold then spray rats nest and all other places that a leak may be possible, get a nice coat on it then start the car. shine the light looking for any soap bubbles (this will show were the leak is if any) you could take the UIM off but with no flow of air you wont be able to find any leaks unless its very visible. it may be hard to see but it will at least help you find the general region of your possible leak.

At the risk of sounding stupid, Wouldn't the car be running in vacuum at idle? So when you spray soapy water on the rats nest looking for leaks wouldn't it be sucking it in instead of blowing bubbles? I've always just stuck beer bottles in my air intake pipes and used an air compressor to pressurize the manifold through the brake booster hose.

to pull no vacuum and have 14psi of boost stumps me, what boost gauge is it?
