Sport Seats That Fit the FD Properly

I know racing and sport seats have been beat to death 'round here, but I'm trying to find out who all has aftermarket SPORT (as in adjustable) seats that fit in the FD with little or no alteration...and then whether I'll fit in them. I'm around 6'2", give or take an inch.

I'm not worried about the sliders, I'll fabricate my own or have someone do it.

I only want to know which models from Sparco, Recaro and maybe Corbeau fit in the FD (and are readily available).

TIA,

-Eric

p.s. I love the Torinos.

how much are you weight? You need to fit the sit too.

Anyway, Recaro pole position and Sparco EVO will fit FD. But there is no bracket for the FD anywhere in US that you can buy. You need to make your own bracket or get the bracket from Japan.

Also do a search for this subject. You will see a lot of info.

neo,

With all due respect dude, did you even read my post?

NOT racing seats. Adjustable sport seats. The Evo and the Pole Position are racing seats...non-adjustable.

I also mentioned that I didn't care about the brackets, that I'd be fabricating my own.

The whole reason for this post was to try and index all sport seat owners in a thread and see what adjustments are needed to fit the seats in an FD. I HAVE done numerous searches, but the information is dispersed over a considerable number of threads and I thought it'd be nice to consolidate them.

This thread is quite well bastardized at this point though.

Hell, for all I know, NONE of the sport seats fit properly.

Sorry to go off on you, but I hate it when people respond without really reading a post.

-E

p.s. I weigh about 175.

People just want to help out here. The least you can do is show some appreciation when someone is nice enough to help. Since you put it that way, even I know I won't even help.

Again, Neo, I'm not trying to pick on you or anything, and I'm sure your intentions are good.

I really am appreciative of ALL the help I get on this forum, including yours. It's been immensely educational.

You have to admit though, that your answer wasn't all that helpful given that I addressed just about everything you mentioned in my post.

Sorry for the semi-tirade. Long day and a busted post. No biggie.

Thanks (sincere),

-Eric

Can someone please give me some Torino's and a good set of brackets? I really dont' want to pay for them right now, and since you're all such a great bunch of folks, I figured you wouldn't mind. Besides, I deserve it. Really.

He asked specific questions, you clearly did not read them and now you are mad and refuse to help even though you know information that is useful.

Put yourself in his shoes. He really didn't go off on you, if he did, he did it with reasonable respect.

gmonsen, thank you very much for answering my questions. The milanos and torinos look extremely nice to me and have great features (as you mentioned).

Per Joe's comment here, if the only modification required to fit Torinos or Milanos in my FD is just to remove the inner recline adjust **** on each seat, then I'm sold. If it requires something more than that, I'm not so sure.

I'm trying to figure out if it's worth getting the sport seats or if I should just pay to have my stockers recovered in alcantra or ultrasuede (I think).

Upside to sport seats is that I think they're a tad lighter (and of course they look cooler. The upside to the stock seats is that I know they fit, they're comfy and it might save me a little money (probably like $20) to have them recovered.

Looking around, Blitz has some adjustable sport seats and may have brackets that fit the FD (rumor that I did not confirm). About $800 (?) each.
