why is it i have to defend myself for ACTUALLY going to this event, i can handle whatever you throw at me, i just don't like immature a-holes throwing out comments when they have no idea what they are talking about.......as for me, the car, my team, and my sponsors we are all class acts, so f you if you think i have a bad attitude towards some people on here....

I even questioned the rushed race to get it ready for the event back in the old post before your guys left for the event. not hating on you guys, nor Steve's excellent abilities, the choice BY SCC to include your car was my main drawback since it wasn't even running when they choose it from what it seems.

You did a great job jason, especially given the circumstances. I of all people know how long and how hard you worked and how much cash you poured into the car. I supported you as best I could (and as best as I was 'allowed' to, lol).
Look at it this way......you finished, it's over, your car still has six good apex seals (thank God for water injection) and we both know you don't give a **** about what 99.9% of this forum thinks anyway. Now go pack a lipper, pound a beer, and shoot a round of golf

Just read the article. Interesting on what they had to say about the car though. Car show guys think there were some *hazardous* stuff/installation. Guru guys said lots of neat stuff, blah blah blah. It did say that I'm a crazy driver in two separate occasions. (funny that I wasn't even really trying my best since the car would allow me to).

fuel pumps are inside the fuel tank. You must be thinking of the fuel filters?? I don't see it would be anymore danger than where the stock location would be.

It doesnt matter if he won or not. If you all saw his car you would be entirely...and i mean entirely..JEALOUS. It is a beauty. The craftsmanship is excellent and it is even tastefully done. I have no doubt that with proper time it could have dominated all performance categories. It would never win the giant graphic and huge *** wing category. Nor would...as an fd guy...want it to.
so on that note...it was cool to see that a ten year old car is still being pimped in the mags...whether the car was done or not...

Just for the record, what does the condition of his car have to do with anything?

Uh oh.......... Jedi senses Forum seismic activity.
It's rumbling.
Let's see if Artguy has a reasonable rebuttal.

well.. someone had to say it
I'm definitely impressed by Jimlab's vast knowledge of FDs and such and I am happy that we have a board member with that knowledge.... BUT, the condescending, "I have a rx7-encyclopedia as a brain so PLEASE don't test me" attitude is getting old.
Just relax and take a deep breathe before you answer our questions~
just take it easy on yourself Jim

Bottom line, it makes absolutely no sense what-so-*******-ever. What in the hell does the appearance of the car have to do with discussing the car's performance in the contest? It's like saying you can't discuss the bad weather you're having because the sky is probably blue somewhere else.

Perhaps not, but I can assure you that I'll own your *** if you keep this self-righteous bullshit up.

yeah doesnt matter how the car look if it doens't run right.
sure the contest factors in some looks points but not much.
everyone always rides jim i find it amussing just so i can see what he has to say back .
concidering i was 11 when the fd came out and hes probly been with the fd since and has done everythign you can do ot them. i would trust what he says and not care if he has the ( I have a rx7-encyclopedia as a brain so PLEASE don't test me" attitude) he's still valable asset.
even will some of his snide remakrs you can fine some truth to his word and wisdom.
also to bad the car didn't fair better maybe next year

I think that I did pretty well in the performance catagory since Most of these guys have local professional drivers running their car and it was my first time at those tracks (with the exception of Palmdale). I think if the car would corner better and stop better (no check valve for the brake booster). I would have gotten closer to the top in performance (at least in road racing). I probably lost at least 2 secs per lap because of the brakes.
